Itself still an innovation at last year’s PSI, the PSI FIRST campaign will now become an exclusive platform for premieres for the second time from 7 to 9 January 2015. Fifty companies will introduce their new promotional products for the very first time at the Leading European Trade Fair of the Promotional Products Industry in Düsseldorf – in front of a diverse trade audience, no less. The specific products to be launched will remain absolutely confidential until the start of the trade fair. But little by little, the industry will find out which companies will participate. Here are the first ten PSI FIRST 2015 participants:

They were among the first ones presenting at last year’s inaugural edition, and now they’re in the pole position for the second one, as well: LM ACCESSOIRES GmbH. “LM ACCESSOIRES likes to think ahead when it comes to good ideas and extraordinary performances. The same is true for PSI FIRST. Because that’s exactly the kind of thing that ensures that our customers stay ahead of the pack for their customers”, says LM Managing Director Meinhard Mombauer. “PSI FIRST turns an exceptional product into a celebrity and puts it straight into people’s minds. This guarantees a positive image for our highlighted product, which is then carried forward by our customers. We can hardly wait for January to present a spectacular product in a spectacular setting. But that’s all I can say right now!”

A member of PSI since 1965, Nestler-matho GmbH & Co. KG will feature a brand-new product at PSI FIRST for the second time. The long-established company from Baden-Baden offers a wide range of products. The Nestler-matho assortment includes electronic goods such as headphones and radios, LED tags and key chains, clocks, portfolios, bags as well as coffee mugs and other lifestyle products.

Spranz GmbH, a promotional merchandise manufacturing, importing and warehousing company from Koblenz, will also present a new product. “To us, PSI FIRST underscores several points at once. Number one, PSI is the most significant industry trade fair of the year for us when it comes to presenting our innovative new products, and, number two, novelty in and of itself is a central component of our innovation and development agenda. This brings together two things that belong together”, says Lorne Spranz, managing director of Spranz GmbH. “We’re happy to be able to offer more than 70 new products and numerous in-house developments as part of our globally protected brand portfolio. We care most deeply about presenting these in personal talks, which leads people to discover their functionality and experience their quality. Because of our 50th anniversary we’ll have even more counters, more service and more food & beverage stations – and we’ll be even more motivated. We look forward to meeting our partners and customers.”

For over 90 years, they’ve been experts when it comes to one of the most quintessential promotional articles. Having specialised in pens from the start, SENATOR GmbH & Co. KGaA produces up to a million of the writing utensils every single day. And each one of them is “Made in Germany” because the highly specialised production of the pens as well as of most of the rest of the assortment takes place in Groß-Bieberau near Frankfurt am Main. We’ll have to wait until PSI 2015 in January to find out whether the SENATOR product premiere will be a pen or something else.

Lediberg GmbH counts on creativity to enable innovation despite numerous rules and restrictions. Calendars in all sorts of variations, plus notebooks, address books and lanybooks are among the Lemgo-based company’s specialities. Lediberg took part in last year’s campaign and presented the handy LANYCAP bottle opener.

Working out of both Kirchzarten in the Black Forest and China, Vim Solutions GmbH has specialised in finishing a wide range of promotional electronics. USB sticks, flashlights, speakers and the like are available with custom finishes, even in small quantities. At last year’s PSI FIRST, they added Safe Call to their assortment, a hands-free system for cars. We’ll have to wait and see what they have in store for us this year.

They’re used to display messages or names during elections, in sports clubs, by corporations and at events: badges. When Badge4u – Wojciech Pawlowski participates in PSI FIRST next year, it will launch a new product associated with this very widely distributed promotional product. The Polish company currently carries badges in both conventional and unusual shapes as well as magnets, mobile accessories and key chains. Badge4u also offers equipment suitable for DYI badge production.

They’ll finally return to PSI after a two-year absence – and for the first time, they’ll launch a promotional product at PSI FIRST: MACMA Werbeartikel oHG. “PSI FIRST gives us an opportunity to introduce our new product to a broad trade audience. We’ll benefit because our novelty will be advertised on several levels at once, including at the PSI trade fair, in the PSI Journal, through the PSI FIRST advertising campaign, through the welcome banner, in the PSI Newsletter and on and on and on. This way we’ll use several possibilities to present our new product at the same time – which means it’ll be very effective for us – our product will be well-known right from the start”, says Christian Huff, managing director of MACMA, as he describes the benefits of participating in the campaign. MACMA thought up something special for its first participation: “Our new product has several possible applications, 99% of people in Europe can use it, a majority of people will use it daily, it offers fantastic surfaces for advertising, it is flexible – just like every company wants to be – and it features a trendy yet plain design. It’ll be pure fun selling it – because it will just about sell itself.”

Up to a million bags a month are produced at the Joytex GmbH & Co. KG manufacturing plant. The company with headquarters in Rhede in the Münsterland region serves as a single-source provider for everything from development to production to printing. At PSI in Düsseldorf on 7 January 2015, they’ll announce the bag-related innovation or possibly the new finishing method that will complement their range from then on.

With approximately 200 million promotional products sold annually, elasto form KG is one of Europe’s leading promotional merchandise suppliers. In addition to operating manufacturing sites in Germany and Europe, the company imports from East Asia and staffs company offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong. For PSI FIRST, elasto form is counting on a product developed in-house, however. “Our PSI FIRST product for 2015 will once again be an in-house development, because those are what truly characterise our company. But I can’t tell you any more than that. Let us surprise you”, says Managing Director Marcus Sperber. After the PSI FIRST debut earlier this year, participating again was simply a given for elasto form. “PSI FIRST focusses even more attention on elasto form KG, and we can target and win over even more visitors at PSI. Plus, it serves as an additional advertising platform thanks to additional initiatives. We are thrilled about having been selected as one of the 50 companies once again.”

About PSI FIRST
Some 50 exhibitors will come together for the second time in the PSI FIRST Club at PSI 2015 in order to leverage the trade fair specifically for the launch of their new products. It’s a way for visitors to experience quite a range of premieres, since the products must not be shown anywhere else beforehand, not even at in-house events. In return, PSI supports manufacturers with a comprehensive marketing package and makes them the focus of attention at the trade fair. In addition, the PSI FIRST AWARD is presented during the trade fair. At the inaugural event in 2014, this prize went to Giving Europe B.V., reeko design GmbH & Co. KG and Richartz GmbH. The PSI FIRST campaign aims at offering a platform for the sector to showcase essential innovations all in one place, right at the start of the promotional product year.
