The Ignite group returned to Warwick Racecourse on October 3rd for their annual exhibition and raceday. This followed the launch of Ignite’s seventh catalogue, hailed by both suppliers and members as the best yet.

The largest attendance so far of 85 suppliers and distributors arrived early for a morning table top exhibition in the marquee.  The morning was a combination of relaxed business discussions and a chance to examine new Autumn products.

At 2.00pm we moved up to the Kingmaker suite for lunch. A delightful room and large balcony with perfect viewing of the racecourse and directly opposite the finishing post. Lunch was a hot buffet with wine and drinks supplied throughout the afternoon.

The format, much praised by suppliers, allows for people to stay for the whole day or leave earlier if they so wish. Many stayed the full distance continuing into Warwick well into the evening.

Warwick Testimonials 2013

‘The ignite exhibition is like no other, incredibly relaxed atmosphere with suppliers/friends of many years, not like a day’s work but a gathering of likeminded business people who want to talk business but have fun at the same time. Coupled with the afternoon races and the evening’s entertainment what more could you ask for from a day.’
Jamie Marshall – CEO Premier Print and Promotions

‘Great event, a relaxed atmosphere with the opportunity for us to showcase Autumn product launches in an informal setting.  Add to this many useful conversations with customers and the ability to pick a few winners (yet fail to back them!), all made for a very productive day.  Ignite continues to grow in stature as a group and we look forward to supporting all members through the coming year.’
Sim Shalom – Sales Director, Listawood

‘A very big thank you to Richard and Collie for organising what has got to be one of the best events in the Industry Calendar. Again the show was a great success and then the afternoons racing and entertainment was, as usual, excellent.  Plenty of business interaction, good food and drink and just a great occasion.  Even though the weather was not up to its usual standard it did not detract from the day and after the races everyone kept going in the square in Warwick on the night.  This has got to be the best way of doing business. I can’t wait for the beginning of October in 2014 when we can do it all again!!!’
Sue Schroder – Sales Manager, Crystal Galleries

‘The Ignite Group race day is a superb format, giving a morning of key suppliers product, followed by an afternoon of informal & relaxed networking, while enjoying a drink or two, great food, and the odd flutter. A great group of people enjoying a great day. Thank you Richard for a superb day.’
Alistair Mylchreest, CEO Sourcing City

‘It was a great event at Warwick, it was nice to see so many familiar faces.  When everyone is so busy it’s sometimes a challenge to get everyone out, but the Ignite group never fails to deliver.
Gordon Glenister –  Director General, BPMA

‘Just a quick note of thanks for the event this week, I really enjoyed myself and was made to feel most welcome – thanks you for that. The dinner on the evening of the 2nd was perfect and the day itself at the racecourse was good business for us conducted in pleasant surroundings. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you again soon.’
Mark Tomlinson – CEO Tomlinson Golf

‘The venue is perfect and the day is excellently organised with the opportunity for the suppliers to showcase their products in the morning  and for all to enjoy a great afternoon of horse racing and socialising / networking in the afternoon and is always very well attended by both suppliers and distributors.’
Ian Webb – CEO Bio Laboratories

‘As usual everyone was very well looked after at Warwick and the venue for lunch we had the usual excellent location with a great view of the racecourse and especially the finish line for the usual view of elation or sadness depending who you had backed! A good crew of distributors and suppliers attended and continued on after the racing to enjoy a ‘lively’ evening with some good industry banter in some of the hostelries of Warwick. So a great day as usual and an event that is becoming a popular industry ‘must for the diary’.’
