Andrew Dwerryhouse MD at Wild Thang commented : “There are 17 Sustainable Development Goals to transform our World over the next 15 years aimed at ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring prosperity. For Wild Thang it starts ‘In my Liverpool home’ and maybe our example can inspire someone else in the world to do exactly the same thing.

Liverpool is a world class city but still has pockets of deprivation and high unemployment, we think by aiming to do our little bit it can make a difference in our city. As a small business we specifically chose Sustainable Development Goals number 11: Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable, because as a company we support many local events and international not for profit organisations that really make a difference both in our city and around the world, a good example is our work with World Merit providing them with the branded clothing, merchandise and flags to really promote their message across the globe.

Wild Thang have also recently gained ISO 14001: 2004, we have a clear environmental and ethical trading policy recently becoming a member of Sedex. As a local employer we are taking responsibility to create a sustainable company that will in turn help us create a sustainable Community, City, Country and even World.”
