As part of an ongoing redistribution programme, CHX Products, one of the leading UK manufacturers of fast turnaround plastic promotional products, has donated more than 140,000 pencils and 500 Frisbees to a charity programme co-ordinated by Broom Incentives in the UK.

A high proportion of the equipment has already been sent out to the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Uganda, where the local Church Pastor took on the responsibility of distributing the classroom and playground essentials to the poorest schools in the local area.

Andy Knight, Managing Director of CHX Products, said: “As a BPMA regional ambassador for the South West I regularly attend the meetings, which are a great opportunity not only to hear about what’s new in the industry but also to find out how we can help and support each other.

“It was at one of the meetings that Denise Broom from Broom Incentives presented and spoke about her involvement in sending surplus products to Africa. We were keen to get involved in such a worthy cause and knew there would be products in our warehouse that could be donated that would benefit many local communities.

“We are so pleased to have got involved in the programme that Denise is carrying out.”

Denise Broom, Director, Broom Incentives commented: “Far too often there are stockpiles of products sitting in warehouses across the country that can benefit others and utilised on an ongoing basis.

“We became involved in the programme just over seven years ago and are always encouraging everyone in the industry to run inventory checks to see what they might have that can be used by others.”
