BTC activewear has been working with CLIC Sargent for the past two years, helping to raise over £22,000 by donating unwanted garments to its upcycling clothing brand Fix Up Look Sharp which transforms charity shop donations in to unique fashion pieces.

The clothing and brand have been developed by staff and volunteers of CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, with all proceeds from sales going towards funding CLIC Sargent’s vital work.

Donations from BTC activewear have given Fix Up Look Sharp a reliable source of high quality donated clothing to be upcycled. Sweatshirts are altered by adding a patch to the front, inserting a different colour mid-section, made into bomber jackets, or the ribbing used to finish handmade pieces. Stock from the last donation has made up the majority of the spring summer collection. With t-shirts altered and unpicked to make raglan t-shirts, our bestselling piece this season!

The latest donation comes courtesy of Gildan with 2000 children’s T-shirts which will be sent to CLIC Sargent’s charity shops in time for the warmer weather.

Emilie Debbonaire, Stock Collection Co-ordinator said, ‘CLIC Sargent is incredibly grateful for the donated stock we have received from BTC activewear and Gildan. Thank you so much for all your support!

The money raised with sales of BTC activewear donations could fund a CLIC Sargent social worker for over six months. They will aim to meet children and young people with cancer, and their families, soon after diagnosis and help them to understand and cope with the emotional, practical and financial effects of cancer, through treatment and beyond.
