Promotional merchandise distributor, Big Bird Sports (UK) Ltd, have been helping a big bear make a big splash for charity.

Bear Randall-Eyre, an ex-serviceman, twitter celeb (@BigBearF1) & charity fund raiser, along with 9 others, is swimming the 10.5 miles length of Lake Windermere in September of this year to raise money for KartForce. Through sponsorship, and supplying free of charge individually named & printed t-shirts for the entire team; Big Bird Sports have helped them raise £550 towards this worthy cause.

KartForce are a team of injured servicemen defying all odds by racing modified karts & cars against able bodied racers with the ultimate aim of becoming the first amputees and British Soldiers to take part in the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hour Race.

With coaching from Dr. Julie Bradshaw MBE (the World Record holding Open Water & Channel swimmer), and support from Bear’s sister Bev’s company ProCo in Sheffield, the team are taking on this incredibly difficult fund raising challenge.
