For the past 40 years an award winning family run prestige promotional merchandise business has been located in the sleepy backwater town of Burnham on Crouch in Essex. Currently based at Dammerwick Farm in Burnham, the promotional merchandise company Impamark moved their operations to the town in 1975 and have since been providing services to a wide ranging client list including St Andrews University, Harrow School, RAF Rugby Union and Rolls Royce.

“The company began as a manufacturer of small leather goods, screen printers, gold blockers and engravers” said Nicky Crisp, Managing Director of Impamark. “We now operate as a business gift distributor and thanks to technological advances are able to work remotely from our offices in Spain as well as in Essex.”

Impamark have been members of the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) for the past 10 years and Envoy catalogue member for 6 years. Nicky Crisp has been a member of Envoy’s focus group and won the James Norman Award for services to the Envoy Group in 2012 plus were announced as a Top 25 Winner at the Distributor of the Year Awards in 2014.

“Our core business areas have been the MOD & Armed Forces, as we are licensed suppliers, plus universities, councils, sailing clubs and charities. We have been providing promotional merchandise to some of our clients for over 20 years,” said Nicky. “We have held several successful client days in conjunction with our suppliers and are planning another for next year to celebrate my 10th anniversary as Managing Director.”

The business was started by Nicky’s father, David Thurgood, in 1969 at that time based in North West London. The company has been increasing in staff over the past few years and are currently recruiting for an additional sales supervisor. With sales teams located in Burnham on Crouch, Essex and Spain, Impamark are looking forward to a continued long and happy future in Burnham. “Our 40 years in Burnham anniversary coincides with Promotional Products Week which is the perfect time to celebrate with our industry,” concluded Nicky.
