The start of another New Year has brought a number of key changes at BTC activewear.

Towards the end of 2012, former Joint Managing Directors, Glenn Hyams and Charles Grose have both stepped down after many years helping to build the highly successful multi brand distribution business. Glenn was the founder of British T-shirt Company that eventually became BTC activewear in the 1990’s partnering with Steve Pope and Charles Grose and a fourth partner. BTC activewear was initially structured as a group of companies operating under one banner sharing a distribution centre and after 2005 amalgamated to become one business with regional sales offices and a National Distribution Centre in the West Midlands. Glenn, Charles and Steve collectively provided stewardship for the Business as Joint Managing Directors.

In 2010, BTC activewear joined the Falk and Ross Group and so became a significant part of Europe’s largest multi brand distributorship. During the months that followed, Glenn and Charles then took up various group responsibilities and Steve became sole Managing Director of BTC activewear. Both Glenn and Charles are now stepping down from their roles and taking on new opportunities.

Steve comments; “As everyone who knows them is aware, Glenn and Charles are both big characters and will be missed by everyone at BTC. They will both be interested to watch the Company’s’ future development and intend to still be involved in the industry to some extent so we expect to still see them about! We wish them all the very best for the future.”

Steve Pope will continue in his role as Managing Director assisted by National Sales Managers Neil Pitcher and Phil Roberts and a full management team based at the Company’s head office in Wednesbury, West Midlands. A recent welcome appointment to this team is Steve Frost as Operations Manager, bringing a wealth of experience from previous positions in major retail and automotive DC environments. BTC remains committed to providing the best service in the industry, offering the best combination of late ordering time and earliest delivery time in the market, shipping from the largest and most advanced DC in the industry.

Another recent and exciting change at BTC activewear is the relocation of one of their 4 regional sales offices. The London & South East sales team has moved to brand new offices with a showroom and off street parking, close to their previous home in Mill Hill, north London. Rob Taylor, manager of the BTC London office comments “BTC was built on putting the customer first and offering knowledgeable, local teams, we aim to offer the right combination of the best webstore in the industry coupled with local, friendly account managers always ready to assist. We look forward to welcoming customers old and new to our fantastic new building.”
